Links policy.
Icybid allows sellers to place only certain types of links within an item description. A link is any mechanism used to take a member off of the Icybid site, whether static or clickable. This applies to any format used for a link that includes but is not limited to, text, images, logos or icons.
Permitted links include:
- One link to a page that further describes the item being sold in that listing

Links to photos of the item for sale

Link to your Icybid store

Link to your About me page
Non-permitted links include, but are not limited to:
- Links to websites or pages that offer to trade, sell or purchase goods or services outside of Icybid. This applies whether it is a static URL or an active link.

Links that encourage buyers to place their Icybid bids through a site other than Icybid

Links or other connections to live chat or other messaging systems

Links to subscribe to newsletters or mailing lists
Links in Stores and About Me PagesExternal links can not be placed on your About me page. External links can be placed on your store pages, and are limited by the below rules:
Maximum of three external links.
Linking to external sites is not permitted for sites that contain pop-ups, adult material, racist or hate oriented material, or sites that condone or promote illegal activity.
Click the "my account" tab in the members area, then click the "manage account" sub-tab. Scroll down to the direct payment settings, then enter your paypal email address, then click the update button at the bottom of the page. Now when you list auctions, select the "paypal" option for direct payment settings.
You need to be sure to set up the callback URL in Paypal, so Paypal automatically updates the payment status for auctions paid with direct pay. To do this you will need to log in to your Paypal account, click the "profile" link, then click the "instant payment notification" link. On this page you will need to turn this preference on, and include the below URL as the IPN URL.

Your buyers will now be able to pay you directly through a paypal pay now button on the Icybid site. This must be completed before listing items, and you must select paypal direct pay for each auction for this to work.
Prohibited items.
If you're still unsure about listing your particular item, look over the select list of items below. These guidelines and policies are designed to help you trade safely on Icybid.
"Prohibited" means that these items may not be listed on Icybid.
PROHIBITED ITEMS ARE :
"Questionable" means that items may be listed under certain conditions.
QUESTIONABLE ITEMS ARE :
- Adults only
Artefacts
- CFC and HCFC refrigerants
- Contracts and tickets
- Food
- Hazardous, restricted and perishable items
- Pesticides
- Plants and seeds
- Police - related items
- Used clothing
- Used medical devices
- Weapons and knives
